07An Adaptive Walk Where the Body Leans on a Slope

On a sloped floor the foot heights come from the slope equation and the body leans forward downhill and back uphill. Leaning forward downhill buys the legs time to recover and adds a near-falling urgency, on a 14 degree downhill the body leans 7 degrees forward and the step rate climbs from 1.6 Hz to about 2.0 Hz, while on a 10 degree uphill it leans 2.5 degrees back. The ankles fold by the slope angle so they stay on the ground.
