03A Tuning That Spreads Glyph Use Evenly With Gamma and Contrast Curves
Before turning mean brightness into a ramp index, the value goes through a gamma power and a contrast stretch so glyphs piled on the bright or dark end spread across the whole ramp. A bar shows how often each glyph is used, and the board on the right reads directly without a curve so only a few glyphs appear as the contrast.
