04Pastel Diverging Colors Painted From a Single Change Rate
The area of a cell comes from its value and its color comes from the change rate. The rate is clamped to the range -1 to 1, interpolated between two pastel ends around a neutral center, and values near 0 are pulled toward gray so no change stays quiet. The board on the right takes color from the value, so area and color repeat the same information as the contrast.
